I'm Daniela Sauma

I am Daniela Sauma, and I am a Mechatronics Engineering student at the TEC in Costa Rica. I am passionate about astronomy and space, and in May 2022 I worked on an asteroid detection project for the IASC in collaboration with NASA and the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaii.

I am a delegate of the United Nations World Organization (UN), representing UNESCO and the World Health Organization (WHO) at the world congress of young leaders.

I have participated in various volunteer programs, in science, social assistance, environmental protection and wild animals, one of the best feelings is to make someone else's day better.

My biggest dream is to become an astronaut. I believe that the world has many incredible opportunities to offer and how exciting it is to have before us every day thousands of possibilities to do our bit in the world. Everything is possible.

I am currently a member of the Society of Women in Space Exploration (SWISE) and the Astronomical Group of the Technological Institute of Costa Rica (Astrotec) and the Minds in Action (MenTe) program and this year 2023 I begin my participation in the Descubre Robótica program, and develop dual talent together with the career I am studying.
